Everything people ask before they book
Below are the questions we hear most often from homeowners and contractors across Bentonville and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas towns we serve. If your question isn't covered here, call (479) 364-6780 and we'll walk you through it directly, there's no contact form on this site, just a phone line answered by someone who can actually help.
Part 1
General questions
What areas do you serve?
We deliver throughout Benton and Washington counties, including Bentonville, Bella Vista, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville, and the smaller towns between them. See our full service area for the complete list.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Gravity Dumpster Rental Bentonville is licensed and insured, and has operated locally since 2015.
How do I book a dumpster?
Call (479) 364-6780. We don't use an online contact form or quote calculator; every order is confirmed over the phone with a flat-rate price up front.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Same-day delivery is often available, especially for addresses close to our Bentonville yard. Call in the morning for the best chance at same-day service; next-day delivery is standard when we're booked out.
What's included in the price?
The rental period, delivery, pickup, and disposal up to the tonnage listed for your container size. There's no separate delivery fee or hidden pickup charge on top of the quoted flat rate.
Do you provide containers for both homeowners and businesses?
Yes. We work with homeowners on remodels and cleanouts, and with contractors, property managers, and businesses on construction, commercial, and demolition debris. See our services page for the full list.
Part 2
Pricing questions
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Pricing depends on container size, rental length, and what's going in it. We quote a flat rate over the phone rather than publishing fixed prices online, since weight and material type affect the final number. Call for a quote, or see our cost guide for typical ranges.
Is delivery and pickup included in the price?
Yes, delivery, pickup, the rental period, and disposal up to the container's weight allowance are all included in the flat rate we quote.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
Overage is billed by the ton beyond what's included with your container size. We'll always tell you the included tonnage when you book so there are no surprises at pickup.
Do you charge extra for a longer rental period?
Standard rental periods are built into the flat rate. If you need the container longer than that, ask about extending it when you book, extra days are priced separately from the base rate.
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
No. The quoted flat rate covers delivery, pickup, the rental period, and disposal up to the stated weight limit. We'll flag anything that could add cost, like heavy debris or an overage, before you book, not after.
Do you require a deposit?
Call and ask when you book; deposit and payment details are confirmed on the phone as part of your quote.
Part 3
Sizing questions
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
Five sizes: 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard. See our size guide for dimensions and typical uses for each.
How do I know what size I need?
It depends on the project. A single-room cleanout or small yard job usually fits a 10-yard container; a kitchen or bath remodel often calls for a 15 or 20; new construction and whole-house gut jobs typically need a 30 or 40. Call and describe the job and we'll help you size it correctly.
What's the difference between a 10-yard and a 20-yard dumpster?
How much weight can a dumpster hold?
It varies by size, from 1 to 2 tons on a 10-yard up to 4 to 5 tons on a 40-yard. Heavy debris like concrete or roofing shingles fills the weight allowance with far less volume than lighter household waste, so the right size depends on what's going in as much as how much.
Can I upgrade to a bigger size after delivery?
In many cases, yes, call as soon as you realize you'll need more room and we'll see what's available rather than waiting until the container is already overflowing.
What size do most homeowners rent?
A 15 or 20-yard container covers the majority of single-family remodel and cleanout jobs we deliver for across Northwest Arkansas.
Part 4
Placement and driveway questions
Will a dumpster damage my driveway?
It can, if placed directly on unprotected asphalt in hot weather or on a soft surface. We can place boards or plywood under the container's contact points on request. See our driveway protection guide for details.
How much space do I need for delivery?
It depends on container size, from about 22 feet of clear driveway run for a 10-yard up to 36 feet for a 40-yard, plus 23 to 25 feet of overhead clearance for the delivery truck. Check our size guide for exact figures.
Can the dumpster go on the street instead of my driveway?
Sometimes, but most cities require a right-of-way permit for anything placed in a public street, while driveway placement typically doesn't. Rules vary by city, so check our city-by-city permit guide or call your city directly.
Do you need access to my backyard or just the driveway?
Roll-off containers are delivered by truck and need a clear, level path, almost always the driveway. We generally can't place a container in a backyard unless there's direct drive-up access.
What if my driveway is short or on a slope?
Tell us when you book. We may recommend a smaller size, an alternate placement spot, or protective boards depending on the specific driveway.
Can you deliver if there are low tree branches or power lines?
Overhead clearance matters, our trucks need roughly 23 to 25 feet depending on container size. Mention any low branches, wires, or carports when you book so we can plan around them.
Part 5
Rules and what can go in the dumpster
What can't go in a dumpster?
Certain hazardous materials, like paint, batteries, tires, and some electronics, generally can't go in a standard roll-off. See our full breakdown of what's allowed and what isn't.
Can I put concrete or brick in a roll-off dumpster?
Yes, but concrete and other heavy debris are dense enough that a 10-yard container can hit its weight allowance with only a few inches of material across the floor. We offer dedicated heavy-debris options for concrete-only loads; see our concrete and heavy debris page.
Can I mix household junk with construction debris?
In most cases, yes, but let us know what's going in when you book so we can recommend the right size and confirm there's nothing prohibited in the mix.
Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster in Northwest Arkansas?
Usually not for driveway placement on your own property. Permits generally come into play only if the container has to sit in a street or public right-of-way, and rules vary by city. See our permit guide for specifics.
Can I put roofing shingles in a dumpster?
Yes. Just know that shingles are heavy, roughly 230 to 250 pounds per square for three-tab and 350 to 430 pounds per square for architectural shingles, so the size you need depends on the roof's square footage and shingle type. See our roofing dumpster guide.
What happens if I put a prohibited item in the dumpster by mistake?
Call us as soon as you notice. Depending on the material, there may be an extra removal or disposal fee, but we'd rather know ahead of pickup than have it flagged at the landfill.
Part 6
Service area and scheduling
Do you deliver outside Bentonville?
Yes, we regularly serve Bella Vista, Centerton, Rogers, Cave Springs, Pea Ridge, Gravette, Garfield, Avoca, Highfill, Lowell, Springdale, Fayetteville, Farmington, Elm Springs, Tontitown, and Johnson. See our service area page for the full list.
How far in advance should I book?
For towns close to our Bentonville yard, same-day or next-day booking is often possible. For farther towns like Fayetteville or Farmington, booking a day or two ahead helps guarantee your preferred delivery window.
Can you pick up the dumpster on a specific day?
Yes, tell us your target pickup date when you book and we'll schedule around it. Call if your timeline changes and we'll adjust.
Do you serve rural properties outside city limits?
Yes, including farm and acreage properties throughout Benton and Washington counties, not just addresses inside city limits.
What if I need the dumpster longer than expected?
Call before the scheduled pickup date and we'll extend the rental. It's easier to adjust the timeline with a heads-up than to reschedule a truck that's already on its way.
